Kate Lee Byrd's Obituary
Kate Lee Jones Byrd, widow of Ollen Ray Byrd, age 91, Fries, VA, died Sunday, July 27, 2008 at the Valley Health Care, Chilhowie, VA.
She was born in Carroll County, VA 11/13/1916 to Walter Wesley & Mittie Carpenter Jones.
Mrs. Byrd is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Charles & Linda Byrd of Glade Spring, VA, one grandson and granddaughter- in law, Tony & April Byrd and two great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at 2:00 PM in the Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ken Blevins and the Rev. Roy Taylor.
The family will receive friends at the church from 12:30 until 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service. Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home, Galax, is serving the family. Online condolences may be made by visiting www.vaughanguynn.com
