Karen Ann Aldred age 55 of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away Friday, June 7, 2013 at the home.

Karen was born on May 28, 1958 in Michigan to Donald and Violet Rondeau Michaelis. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers Dale Michaelis and Mark Michaelis.

She is survived by her husband Randal Aldred of Woodlawn, Virginia; sons and daughters-in-law Jonathan Matthew and Cindy Marie Snow of Galax, Virginia; Charles James and Krystal LaNay Aldred of Hillsville, Virginia; grandchildren Jeffrey Matthew Snow; Aspen LaNay Aldred and Holden James Aldred; sisters and brothers-in-law Kay and Michael Parsons; Cheri and Mark VanHoy all of Galax, Virginia; brothers and sisters-in-law Ronnie and Joyce Michaelis of Thomasville, North Carolina; Randy Michaelis of High Point, North Carolina; Dennis and Sue Michaelis of Fries, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Sunday, June 9, 2013 at 3:00 PM in the Coulson Church of the Brethren with Pastor Harry W. Shelton officiating. Burial will follow in the Melton Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Coulson Church of the Brethren.
