June I. Manus age 85 of Galax, Va. passed away Thursday, February 5, 2009 at Waddell Nursing Home. Mr. Manus was born in Carroll County, Va. on June 16,1923 to Jerry Anderson & Lula Montgomery Manus.He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Hampton Manus of Galax, Va.; son & daughter-in-law Thomas J. & Layton Manus of Concord, Va.; sister Gail Manus Ashley of Winston-Salem, N.C.; one niece & six nephews. A graveside service will be held Sunday, February 8, 2009 at 2:00 pm in Gladeville Cemetery with Rev. Bob Adams officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from six until eight at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. Military Rites will be conducted by Grayson VFW Post 7726.
