June Anders Lawrence age 75 of Galax, Virginia passed away Sunday, September 30, 2012 in the
North Carolina Baptist Hospital.
Mrs. Lawrence was born on June 19, 1937 in Ennice, North Carolina to John and Marie Lowe Anders. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter Kathy Anderson.
She is survived by her husband Linwood "Doodle" Lawrence; son and daughter-in-law Jack and Charlotte Lawrence; son-in-law John Anderson all of Galax, Virginia; grandchildren and spouses Tammy Harmon, Jackie Lynn and Benji Rippey, Joel Anderson, Jordan and Crystal Anderson and Jacob Anderson; great-grandchildren Hunter Rippey, Cole Pickett, Aiden Anderson and Hannah Rippey; sister and brother-in-law Joyce and Robert Thomas of Birmingham, Alabama; several nieces and nephews; special friend Amanda Ramey.
The funeral service will be held Friday, October 5, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev Randy Morris and Eddie Stanley officiating. Burial will follow in the Felts Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 246 Abingdon, Virginia 24212.
