Julia Christine Taylor age 78 of Fries, Virginia passed away Sunday, October 21, 2018 in the Lewis Gale Medical Center.

She was born in Wythe County, Virginia on November 22, 1939 to John Allen and Lula Shepherd Hamm. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by the father of her children, Herbert R. "Buster" Taylor.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Julia and Jim Hagy of Galax, Virginia; Tammy and Tommy Caudill; Bridget Taylor all of Fries, Virginia; sons and daughters-in-law Randy and Pam Taylor; Brent and Joy Taylor all of Fries, Virginia; Craig and Tammy Taylor of Ivanhoe, Virginia; sister and brother-in-law Louana and Carl Epley of Blacksburg, Virginia; brothers and sister-in-law Charles Hamm of Florida; Carson and Dora Hamm of Fries, Virginia; eleven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews; special friend Felicia Hall.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 am in the Grace Baptist Church with the Rev. Ben Haga and the Rev. Matt Linkous officiating. Burial will follow in the Rosewood Memorial Gardens in Rural Retreat, Virginia. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Grace Baptist Church.

She loved her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchild very much.
