Julia Elizabeth Williams Reid (Judy) passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at the home of her daughter in Fries,Virginia.

Mrs. Reid was born in Guilford County, Greensboro, North Carolina on September 4, 1939 to Garland Thomas and Nanny Louise Reid. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her grandson Fletcher Dalton Williams and brother Fletcher Thomas Reid.

Julia worked at Cone Mills (White Oak) in the spinning room.

She was a member of the Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints faith.

Julia was the mother of four loving children, daughters Delores Williams and Sharon Williams May; sons Jerry Wayne Williams and Harry Fletcher Williams, sisters and brother-in-law Faye Edwin and Mary and Muncy Moss; brother and sister-in-law William Edward and Pam Reid and her beautiful grandchildren Heather Taylor, Amy McDaniel, Jason Bunton, Candice and Brandi Bohennon, Dana Taylor, Brittany Rogers, Jamie Thomas, Brooke Williams and Bryce May. She also has thirteen great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held Saturday at 1:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with the Rev. Richard Gregory officiating. Burial will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from six until eight at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
