Judy Phyllis Poole Jones, 81, of Altavista passed away Thursday, August 10, 2023 at Autumn Care of Altavista.

She was born March 3, 1942 in Elk Creek, a daughter of the late Wiley Ford Poole and Ruby Hackler. She was a retired telephone operator.

She is survived by one son, Stephen Ray Hill and his wife, April of Altavista; one brother, Roger Poole and his wife, Carlene of Woodlawn; and three grandchildren, Dillon, Damon and Kali.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Poe.

A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, August 13, 2023 at Finch & Finch Chapel, Altavista by Ronnie Simpson and Mike Dodson with interment to follow in the Tree of Life Cemetery.

The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 p.m. prior to the service, Sunday at Finch & Finch Funeral and Cremation Service, Altavista and other times at the residence of Stephen and April Hill of 2891 Dearing Ford Road, Altavista, Virginia 24517.
