Judy Esther Lawson, age 72, passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at her home in Speedwell, Virginia.  Judy was born April 12, 1949 in Asheville, North Carolina to the late Claude Elmer and Margaret Haynes Moore.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her life-long companion Don Funk.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law Carolyn and Chris Hoback of Speedwell; Linda and Brad Dunford of Max Meadows; son Michael Lawson of Fries; sister and brother-in-law Liz and Dale Anderson of Fries; ; brothers and sister in law Peary and Becky Moore and Stevie Moore all of Fries. Six grandchildren, two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

A graveside service and burial will be held at the Fries Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery Friday at 2:00 PM with Michelle Keesling officiating. There will be no visitation.
