Judith Ann Bowers Higgins, age 73, of Galax, VA, died Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016 in the Twin County Community Hospital, Galax, VA.
Mrs. Higgins was born Feb. 23, 1942 in Galax, VA to Gleamer and Edith Hess Bowers. Her parents preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband, Guy Franklin Higgins, Galax, VA; daughter & wife, Teresa Diane & Monica Higgins, Folsom. CA; son & fiancé, Gary Higgins & Kim Warren, Charlotte, NC; grandson, Gary Higgins. Several brothers & sisters and several nieces and nephews, also, survive.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2016 in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel, Galax, VA at 11:00 AM with burial to follow in the Blue Ridge Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday, Jan. 18, 2016 at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
