Juanita Mae Wittig age 95 of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday, December 7, 2015 at her home.

Mrs. Wittig was born on September 16, 1920 in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio to Grover Cleveland and Addie S. Vandal Leasure. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by husbands William Author Garner and Joseph Wittig; daughter Linda Lee Crouse; several sisters and brothers and a daughter-in-law Marlene Garner.

She is survived by a son Gary William Garner of Cleveland, Ohio; sister-in-law Lucy Odell Leasure of Nashville, Tennessee; brother-in-law Bill Prange of Stow, Ohio; granddaughters and spouses Luchelle Burchette of Independence, Virginia; Linda Hill and Barbara Hall both of Galax, Virginia; Christina Dawson and fiance' Jack Ward of Cleveland, Ohio; Sue and Todd Mislosky of Northfield, Ohio; grandsons and spouses Carl (Charlie) Stone of Galax, Virginia; Gary Garner, Jr. of Deerfield, Ohio; Timothy (Tim) and Julie Anna Stone of Pipers Gap, Virginia; Tony and Melissa Garner of Brunswick, Ohio; special great-grandson Cory Hall; eighteen great-grandchildren; sixteen great-great-grandchildren; two great-great-great-grandchildren; son-in-law Carl Stone Jr., and her caregiver Debra Carico.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from six until eight at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. At the request of Mrs. Wittig her body will then be cremated.
