Juanita Melton Weddle, age 82, of Galax, Virginia passed away Saturday January 1, 2022, in Heritage Hall HealthCare and Rehabilitation in Laurel Fork, Virginia.

Juanita was born on June 8, 1939 to the late Glen and Etheleen Farmer Melton.

She is survived by her husband Freddie Weddle of Galax, Virginia; son and fiancé Terry Warf and Lisa Turner of Hillsville, Virginia; grandchild Eire Warf; great-grandchild Avia Raelyn Gandy; step-daughters and their spouses Sue and Carl Patsel of Ridgeway, Virginia, Carol and Jerry Sutphin of Willis, Virginia; four step-grandchildren; and eight step-great grandchildren. Also surviving are sisters and brothers-in-law Faye and Jerry Snavley of Austinville, Virginia, Reva and Norman Nester of Hillsville, Virginia, Marie and Whitey Dalton of Galax, Virginia; brother and sister-in-law Herman and Shirley Melton of Woodlawn, Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday January 5, 2022 at 2PM in Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Ronald Bowman and Elder Tim McGrady officiating. Burial will follow in Melton Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1PM until time of the service at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
