Juanita Faye
Sutphin
September 10, 1932 – June 23, 2020
Juanita Faye Vaughan Sutphin of Galax, VA passed away peacefully at Twin County Regional Hospital after a lengthy illness with Alzheimer's and COVID-19. She was born on September 10, 1932. She is safely resting in the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and was joined by her beloved family and friends who have already made it safely home. Juanita worked for this reward all of her life and even with the struggle with Alzheimer's, she never forgot her family and she never lost her faith in her Lord. She would tell others that Jesus was her best friend. She loved the preaching, singings, playing Bingo, activities, games, etc. at Waddell Nursing Home and would lift her hands and praise the Lord during the services. Juanita loved her family and friends, but most of all, she loved Jesus. Her laughter was contagious and her smile could light up any room she was in. She was also loved by all who knew her.
Juanita worked at Hanes Knitwear/Sara Lee for 30+ years until her retirement. After a short break, she went back to work for Sara Lee as a housekeeper.
