Juanita Mary Free Summers age 87 of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday, December 18, 2023 at her home.

Mrs. Summers was born in Tennessee on February 24, 1936, to Marshall Monroe and Ethel McGaha Free. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Wayne Summers and granddaughter Samantha Louise Komraus.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Cheryl and Ken Dooley of Cleveland, Georgia; Cynthia and Skip Komraus of Galax, Virginia; son and daughter-in-law Stanley and Judy Summers of Galax, Virginia; grandchildren and spouses Charlie and Tamie Summers of Galax, Virginia; Billy and Kim Komraus of Washington; Jamie and Derrick Allen of Georgia; Daniel Summers of Virginia; Mary Hill of Georgia; six great-grandchildren Samantha; Savanah; Megan; Katy; Marcus and Seth.

A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at 5:00 PM in the Bible Baptist Church with the Rev. Barry Newman officiating.  Inurnment will be private in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery at Cranberry. There will be no visitation.
