Juanita Pope Shaw's Obituary
Juanita Pope Shaw age 84 of Galax, Virginia passed away Thursday, June 10, 2010 in Twin County Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Shaw was born on April 21, 1926 in Carroll County, Va. to Thomas K. and Milner Kyle Pope.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Robert W. Shaw.
She is survived by her daughters Barbara Gill and Diane McKnight; son Garry Shaw all of Galax, Va.; grandchildren Penny Weatherman, Sophia Hudson, Roxanne Gill; Tim Hedrick and Buck Gill; great-grandchildren Danielle Weatherman, Kaitlyn Brownlee; Joshua Sagahon, Caleb Hudson, Buck Hudson, Steven Hedrick, Nicholas Hedrick and Daniel Hedrick. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The funeral service will be held Sunday, June 13,2010 at 2:00 pm in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Ted Bartlett officiating. Burial will follow in Gladeville U.M. Church Cemtery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from six until eight at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
