Juanita Neal Johnson, 80, of Galax, VA passed away Friday, September 17, 2010, at Twin County Regional Hospital. Mrs. Johnson was born in Grayson County, Virginia on October 3, 1929 to the late Charlie & Mary Sexton Neal. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Claude Johnson and son, Jerry Lee Johnson as well as brothers Glen & Stuart Neal and sister Roberta N. Johnson.

She is survived by son and wife Dale & Ima Johnson of Galax; daughter-in-law: Sandy Johnson of West Jefferson, North Carolina; grandchildren Sonya Johnson of Galax and Stephen Burchette of West Jefferson; great granddaughter Jillian Johnson and nephews Roger Neal and Larry Neal also survive.

Mom was always there for us and will be dearly missed, but for her there is no more pain and she will never be cold again because she is in the warmth of His presence.

The funeral service will be held Sunday, September 19, 2010 at 2:00 PM in the Midway Baptist Church with Rev. Myron Dalton and Rev. Bob Adams officiating. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Leonard Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from six until 8 o'clock at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Leonard Memorial Cemetery Fund.
