J.R. Wilson's Obituary
J.R. Wilson age 71 of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday, May 21, 2012 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.
J.R. was born in Grayson County, Virginia on December 8, 1940 to Paul Wilson, Sr. and Maude Catron Wilson.
He is survived by his wife Janice Lee Wilson; sons and daughters-in-law Shawn Neil and Kendra Wilson; Timothy Scott and Sophia Wilson all of Galax, Virginia; grandchildren Matt Wilson, Shana Wilson, April Wilson and Heather Jones; great-grandchild Cayden Anderson; sister Joyce Wilson Carico of Ennice, North Carolina; brothers and sisters-in-law Randy and Kathy Wilson; Mike and Sandy Wilson; Billy and Mina Wilson all of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at 8:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Gary Vaught and Rev. Randy Morris officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from six until time for the funeral service at the funeral home. Burial will be Wednesday at 11:00 AM in the Felts Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the West Galax United Methodist Church.
