Joyce Stanley Harrell Isom King, 75, of Fries, Virginia passed away Friday August 9, 2013 at her home. Joyce was born April 7, 1938 in Grayson County, Virginia to Hix and Esther Snow Stanley. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Phipps Harrell, sister Eloise Murray and brothers Earnest and Darrell Stanley.

She is survived by her daughters and husbands- Diane Harrell Hutchens and Ronald of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; Mary Isom Arnold and Mark of Max Meadows, Virginia; grandchildren Danielle Hutchens, Luke Arnold, Zachary Arnold and Amber Arnold; sisters and husbands: Louise Hayes; Patricia Shupe and Marshall; Patsy Cornett and Don; Christine Delp and Freddie; brothers and wives: Doug Stanley and Donna; Larry Stanley; Allen Stanley; Billy Stanley and Jan; Pete Stanley and Jackie; Eddie Stanley and Robin. Several nieces, nephews and a host of friends also survive.

Memorial service will be held Sunday, August 11, 2013 at 7:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev.Ben Haga officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until service time at the funeral home.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Sara Hart and the staff of Twin County Hospice for all the wonderful care Joyce received. Their love and dedication made this difficult time easier.
