Joyce Bell Hankley (Bartlett)  age 86 of Galax, Virginia passed away Sunday, January 1, 2023 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.

Ms. Hankley was born in Austinville, Virginia on July 1, 1936, to Ben Collins and Ila Amelia Crutchfield Hankley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter Lynn Hackler; brother Donald Hankley and sisters-in-law Ileta Hankley and Garnetta Hankley.

She is survived by a daughter Kimberly Hargrave of Galax, Virginia; sons and daughters-in-law Ben and Susie Bartlett of Galax, Virginia; Tim Bartlett and Stephanie Nicholson of Quaker Hill, Connecticut; son-in-law & wife Duane and Linda Hackler of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina;  brother B.C. Hankley of Galax, Virginia; grandchildren and spouses Kevin (Kristin) Hackler, Caleb Hackler; Brandi (Kenny) Burkhart; Jennifer (Duane) Cockerham; Jessica Bartlett; Justin (Ambyr) Bartlett; Kaitlyn Bartlett (Troy); Dylan Bartlett (Carrie); Shelby (Tommy) Dalton and Jared (Kiaira) Cochran;  nine great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday at 5:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Pastor Ernie Smith and Pastor Sam Bartlett officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 4:00 PM until time for the service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
