Joyce Ann Freeman Funk, age 81, of Fries, Virginia passed away Friday March 21, 2025 in her residence.

Joyce was born on December 6, 1943 in Galax, Virginia to the late Elmer Luther Freeman and Barbara Shupe Freeman. She was also preceded in death by her sisters Vickie Funk and Faye Spraker; and brother Gary Freeman.

She is survived by her husband Ernest "Ernie" James Funk of Fries, Virginia; daughter Melissa Funk Crigger of Fries, Virginia; brothers and sisters-in-law Mike and Dolores Freeman of Fries, Virginia, Darrell and Phyllis Freeman of Fries, Virginia; grandchildren Matthew Crigger, Jacob Crigger, and Luke Crigger; great grandchildren Kinley Mae and Lily Anna Crigger. As well as several nieces and nephews.

The celebration of life will be held Thursday March 27, 2025 at 6:00PM in the Rock Worship Center with Pastor Chuck Edwards officiating.
