Joyce Ann Davis age 68 of Galax, Virginia passed away Sunday, July 6, 2014 at her home.
Joyce was born on July 28, 1945 in Carroll County, Virginia to Luther and Grace Joines Woodel. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Clarence Savage and her second husband Sidney Sherman Davis, Sr..
She is survived by her children and their spouses Bobby and Holly Savage of Hillsville, Virginia; Billy and Crystal Savage; Tommy and Janet Savage all of Galax, Virginia; Johnny and Sebrena Savage; Melissa and Jerry Fore all of Woodlawn, Virginia; sisters Elaine Higgins and June Douglas both of Galax, Virginia; Elizabeth Cooke of Mt Airy, North Carolina; brother Ed Woodel of Sparta, North Carolina; fourteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; eleven great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
A private graveside service was held Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the Monta Vista Cemetery. Friends may call at the home today (Tuesday) after 3:00 PM.
