Josie Pack Shupe's Obituary
Josie Pack Shupe age 98 of Fries, Virginia passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2014 in the Blue Ridge Health and Rehab Center.
Mrs. Shupe was born on September 22, 1915 in Wythe County, Virginia to William and Catherine Eversole Pack. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Lee Shupe and her son William Douglas Shupe.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law Betty Sue Shupe of Galax, Virginia; grandchildren and spouses Bill and Beth Shupe, Jr.; Tina and Brett Burford; Ricky Shupe; three great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 3:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with the Rev. Bob Adams officiating. Burial will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Fries Fire Department and Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 9, Fries, Virginia 24330.
