Josie Beatrice Leonard Jennings  better known as Betty Jennings age 82 of Galax, Virginia passed away Saturday March 6, 2021 at her home.

Mrs. Jennings was born on May 17, 1938 in Galax, Virginia to Ottie Thomas and Charlotte Bartlett Leonard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James E. Jennings, four sisters and four brothers.

She is survived by her children and spouses Jimmy Jennings, Dennis Jennings both of Galax, Virginia; Cristal and Tracy Moore of Dugspur, Virginia; Sherri and Reggie Gibson of Galax, Virginia; sister and brother-in-law Lillian and Harold McMillian of Galax, Virginia; seven grandchildren Heather Hill (Jason Newman); Joshua Jennings (Emily); Cody Jennings; Cory Jennings; Matthew Simone (Kelly); Kristin Galyean; Brandt Puckett (Toni);  one step-grandchild Tiffany Moore; four great-grandchildren Tori Jennings; Grayson Jennings; Hadley Jennings; Logan Jennings; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Monday at 1:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Brady Morrison officiating. Burial will follow in the McKenzie Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from twelve noon until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.

Mask and Social Distancing will be required for the visitation and service.
