Joseph "Joe" Marshall Wright, age 84, of Galax, VA, died Sunday, July 26, 2015 at the Woltz Hospice Home, Dobson, NC.

Mr. Wright was born in Grayson County, VA, Nov. 29,1930, to Tolbert & Robena Sells Wright. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of sixty two years, Betty Wright and brother "Pete" Wright.

He is survived by daughters & sons-in-law, Kathy & David Vines, Winston Salem, NC, Phyllis & Roger Carpenter, Galax, VA, Susie & Tim Roberts, Galax, VA; sister, Mary Harrison, Galax, VA; sister-in-law, Joyce Wright, Galax, VA; special companion "Ginger" and caregivers, Ruth Lyon and Peggy Crouse. Also, four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces & nephews survive.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 28, 2015 in the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home Chapel at 4;00 pm with burial to follow in the Felts Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2;00 PM until 4;00 PM at the funeral home on Tuesday. Officiating ministers will by the Rev. Ernie Smith and Marvin Williams.

Flowers will be appreciated , however, memorial contributions may be made to the Woltz Hospice Home, Dobson, NC.
