Joseph Philip Jennings age 84 of Galax, Virginia passed away Sunday, July 26,2009 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Jennings was born in Carroll County, Va. on July 15,1925 to Denny E. & Marie Sperry Jennings. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers Seth Jennings and Paul Jennings.
He is survived by his wife Ineda Jennings; sons & daughters-in-law Sam & Susan Jennings; Dale & Mary Jennings; Rodney & Cheryl Jennings ; Tim & Donna Jennings all are of Galax, Va.; sister & brother-in-law Lois & Ralph White of Hillsville, Va.; brother David Jennings of Christiansburg, Va.; twelve grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; numerous nieces & nephews.
A private service was held for the family on Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at 1:00 pm at Snow Hill Cemetery with Rev. Ernie Smith officiating.Memorials may be made to the Snow Hill Cemetery Fund.
