Joseph Glenn Hill age 88 of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at Twin County Regional Hospital.
Mr. Hill was born in Carroll County, Va. on December 29, 1920 to George T. & Ella Virginia Faddis Hill.
He is survived by his wife Fern Hill of Woodlawn, Va.; sons & daughters-in-law Larry & Virginia Hill of Charlotte, N.C.; Randy Hill of Woodlawn, Va.; Roger Hill & Patricia Richardson of Galax, Va.; grandson Joseph Hill; brothers & sisters-in-law Earl & Glenna Hill of Akron, Ohio; Ray & Maxlene Hill of Hillsville, Va; Foy & Bonnie Hill of Galax, Va.; sisters-in-law Faye Hill of Vesta, Va.; Zella Lineberry of Woodlawn, Va.; brother-in-law & spouse Walden & Agnes Lineberry of Woodlawn, Va.; four nieces & three nephews; several best friends and neighbors.
A graveside service will be held Friday, July 31, 2009 at 11:00 AM in Monta Vista Cemetery with Kyle Compton officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from six until nine at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. Military Rites will be conducted by Hillsville VFW Post 1115. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the American Cancer Society or to the charity of the donors choice.
