Joseph John Florio age 90 of Bluffton, South Carolina passed away Monday, March 5,2007 in Tide Point Care Center. Mr. Florio was born on April 24, 1916 in New York, New York to the late Ono Frio and Angelina Daniello Florio. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Domenica Sportelli Florio. He is survived by a daughter & son-in-law, Vita & Tommy McKnight of Bluffton, S.C.; son & daughter-in-law, Michael & Joy Florio of Herndon, Va.; sister Bernadette Raffa of Long Island, New York; five grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. The funeral service will be held Friday, March 9, 2007 at 11:00 AM in St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Father Charles Brickner officiating. Burial will follow in Felts Memorial Cemetery with Military Rites by Grayson VFW Post 7726. The family will receive friends Friday morning from ten until service time at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the St. Gregory The Great Catholic Church in Hilton Head, South Carolina or to the Twin County AAU.
