Joseph B. Easter age 90 of Galax, Va. passed away Thursday, March 15, 2007 in Twin County Regional Hospital. Mr. Easter was born on December 24,1916 in Cana, Va. to the late Hubbard & Mahulda Hill Easter. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Thelma Cagle Easter; daughter Frances Easter and a son Willie Ray Easter. He is survived by his daughters & sons-in-law Margaret & Carlie McCraw of Fancy Gap, Va.; Sallie & Bill Marshall of Woodlawn, Va.; son & daughter-in-law Howard & Zollie Easter of Galax, Va.; daughter-in-law Betty Easter of Galax, Va.; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. The funeral service will be held Sunday, March 18, 2007 at 2:00 PM at New Hope Primitive Baptist Church with Elder George Flippin, Elder Paul Clark & Elder Bobby Daughtry officiating. Burial will follow in the Independence Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from seven until nine at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the New Hope Primitive Baptist Church C/O Zollie Easter 209 Foggy Mountain Lane Galax, Va..
