Joseph Bruce Chappell, Sr. age 76 of Hillsville, Virginia passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at his home.
Mr. Chappell was born on February 17, 1934 in Grayson County, Virginia to Bruce and Mattie Cox Chappell.
He is survived by his wife Lillian J. Chappell; sons Joseph Bruce Chappell, Jr. (Joey) and Kim Byron Chappell all of Hillsville, Virginia; special grandchildren Kory Allen Chappell; Kayla Dawn Chappell; Colton Tyler Chappell; a special adopted grandson Charlie Robertson and his family; sister Geneva Stables of Parkersburg, West Virginia; several nieces and nephews; special canine Paco; special friends James and Linda Billings.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, October 16, 2010 at 11:00 AM in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Pastor James Billings and Rev. Camet Spivey officiating. Burial will follow in Great Hope Baptist Church Cemetery with Military Rites by Hillsville VFW Post 1115. The family will receive friends Friday evening from six until eight at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
