Jonathan Ted Ward, 53, of Ivanhoe, Virginia passed away Saturday, December 22, 2012 in Reidsville, North Carolina. He was born Saturday, August 8, 1959 in Greensboro, North Carolina to the late James Ward and Evelyn Wagoner Ward.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law: Deborah and Brandon Johnson of Ivanhoe, Virginia; son and companion: Chares Ward & Nicole Taylor of Pulaski, Virginia; grandchildren Breanna Ward, Blake Johnson, Cameron Johnson, and Kimberly Johnson; sisters and brothers-in-law: Brenda Denson of Eden, North Carolina; Barbara and Wade Lawson of Supply, North Carolina; Rita Blevins of Mt Airy North Carolina; Teresa and Richard Goodman of Dobson, North Carolina; Martha and Homer Norman of Fries, Virginia; brothers and sisters-in-law: Nathan and Dawn Ward; Dan and Sally Ward all of Ivanhoe, Virginia; Mark and Lanor Ward of Austinville, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, December 27, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Cold Springs United Methodist Church with Rev. Matt Linkous officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service at the church. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 o'clock at the funeral home.
