Johnny Ray McCoy age 69 of Galax, Virginia passed away Thursday May 25, 2023 at his home.

Mr. McCoy was born on March 19, 1954 in Logan, West Virginia to Robert and Virgie Lee Johnson McCoy.

He is survived by his wife Paulette McCoy of Galax, Virginia; son Jake McCoy and wife of South Carolina; two grandchildren Hannah McCoy and Gavin McCoy; sisters Jenny Cassell; Sally Deal; Virginia Pierce; Ruth Boyd and Penny White; two brothers Jimmy McCoy and Lawrence McCoy; several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday at 3:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 PM until time for the service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
