Johnny Mark Brown age 61 of Galax, Virginia passed away Wednesday, Janaury 30, 2013 at his home.
Johnny was born on April 22, 1951 in
Wyandotte, Michigan to Junior Johnson and Mildred Wisner Brown. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his step-father Emmett Ryder who raised him.
He is survived by his children and their spouses Samantha and Eric Riggins; Ted and Malinda Brown; Richard and Lani Brown all of Galax, Virginia; Michael Kyle Brown of Savannah, Georgia; sisters and brother-in-law Susan and Ron Gibson of Murphy, North Carolina; Kay Brown of Tennessee; brothers and sister-in-law David and Wanda Ryder of Dalton, Georgia; Jimmy Stephens of Murphy, North Carolina; seven grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 3:00 PM in the Glenwood United Methodist Church with Pastor Donna Goodwin officiating. Burial will follow in the Popes Knob Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 2:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Glenwood United Methodist Church.
