Johnnie W. Roberts age 87 of Galax, Virginia passed away Wednesday, April 15,2009 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Mr. Roberts was born in Carroll County, Va. on June 13, 1921 to Jim & Annie Jean Ingersoll Roberts. He is survived by his wife Thelma L. Roberts of Galax, Va.; daughter Betty Bedsaul of Galax, Va.; sisters Lena Rose Dillon of Woodlawn, Va.; Wilma Duncan of Martinsville, Va.; granddaughters & spouses Lori & Michael Landreth; Tiffany & Daniel Fields; great-grandsons Nicholas Landreth and Brandon Fields; several nieces & nephews. A graveside service will be held Saturday, April 18, 2009 at 2:00 pm in Monta Vista Cemetery with Rev. Camet Spivey officiating. Military Rites will be conducted by Grayson VFW Post 7726. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family.
