Johnie Eugene Baker II age 47 of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday, January 27, 2025 at his home.

Johnie was born on December 20, 1977 in Louisville, Kentucky to Johnie Eugene Baker I and Renda Meadow Baker. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister Catina "Tina" Faye Baker.

He is survived by his mother Renda Meadow Lee of Galax, Virginia; sister and brother-in-law Chrysty Wittman Murphy and Donnie of Sparta, North Carolina; brother Robert John Wittman, Jr. of Johnson City, Tennessee; nephews Houston Murphy and wife Kayley; Spencer Murphy all of  Sparta, North Carolina; great-nephew Bently Murphy of Sparta, North Carolina; nieces Macey Murphy of Sparta, North Carolina; Hailey Wittman of Johnson City, Tennessee; aunts and uncles Donna Higgins and Danny; Babsi Higgins; Charlie Felts all of Galax, Virginia;  Dale Felts and Sherry of Hickory, North Carolina; many other cousins and extended family members; everyone he ever met, which he considered each a good friend.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday February 22, 2025 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel.
