John William Hale age 75 of Galax, Va. passed away Monday, April 21,2008 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Mr. Hale was born on October 28, 1932 in Galax, Va. to Norman & Susie Goins Hale. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Irene E. Hale. He is survived by his daughters & son-in-law Gretta Hale of the home; Charlotte & Daniel Holliday; Elvira Hale all of Galax, Va.; Sandra Roberts of Mt. Airy, N.C.; sons & daughter-in-law John (Pete) Hale, Jr. & Teresa of Mt. Airy, N.C.; Kelvin Hale of the home; sisters Ivy Braxton of Cleveland, Ohio; Betty Goins of Washington, DC; brothers Danny Hale of Phoenix, Arizona; Bill Hale of Fries, Va.; Lloyd Hale of Maryland; step-sister Nancy Crockett of Galax, Va.; eleven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; host of nieces & nephews. The funeral service will be held Saturday, April 26,2008 at 2:00 pm at Faith Tabernacle Holy Church of God with Rev. Raymond Brown, Jr., Helen Brown and Ethelene Bryan officiating. Burial will follow in the Glades Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from seven until nine at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. The body will lie-in-state one hour before the funeral service.
