John Edward White's Obituary
John Edward White age 78 of Galax, Virginia passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2018 in his home in Manassas, VA.
Mr. White was born in Carroll County, Virginia on December 10th, 1939 to James and Jane White. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son Michael White.
John proudly served his country as a veteran of the Army.
He is survived by his wife Sonia White and one son and daughter, Daniel White and Katherine McDermott. Son-in-law Stephen McDermott; Daughter-in-law Carrie White
Six grandchildren SaraJane White, Sydney White, Evan White, Miriam McDermott, Liam McDermott, and Ian McDermott and several nieces and nephews.
John is also survived by his brother Roger White and sister Betty Huyser.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 3:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Tim Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Oakland Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 PM until service time.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO BOX 758516, Topeka, KS 66675
