John Ryan Carico age 36 of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away Wednesday September 15, 2021 in the Northern Regional Hospital in Mt. Airy, North Carolina.

John was born April 4, 1985 to John W. and Karen Gillespie Carico.

In addition to his parents of Galax, Virginia,  John is survived by two children Emma Khloe Carico and Zoey Rylie Carico both of Woodlawn, Virginia; sisters Shea Carico and Mark Patton of Galax, Virginia; Kimberly and Dennis Lineberry of Woodlawn, Virginia; maternal grandmother Naomi Gillespie of Galax, Virginia; paternal grandmother Jewell Carico of Galax, Virginia; mother of his children Faith Carico of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews; multiple friends and co-workers at Guardian Glass.

The funeral service will be held Monday at 11:00 AM in the Cliffview Church of God with the rev. Jackie Poe officiating.  Burial will follow in the McKenzie Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from six until eight at the Cliffview Church of God.
