Rev. John W. Kistler age 76 of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away Monday, January 20, 2020 in the Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, North Carolina.

Mr. Kistler was born on September 5, 1943 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Warren Granville and Mary Ethel Moyer Kistler. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Shirley and a brother Robert.

Rev. Kistler attended Philadelphia College of Bible, Philadelphia, PA and graduated from Beth Haven Bible College in Louisville, Kentucky.  He pastored churches in Virginia, Rhode Island and Connecticut.

He is survived by his wife Bonnie Kistler of Woodlawn, Virginia; daughter Amy Elizabeth Kistler of Brooklyn, New York; son and daughter-in-law J. Steven and Barbara Kistler of East Greenwich, Rhode Island; two granddaughters  Lauren Kistler and Ashlynn Kistler; sister Eileen Grace Schubert of Suffolk, Virginia; brothers and sister-in-law William Kistler of Galax, Virginia; Rev. Jeffrey and Marquerite Kistler of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania; several nieces and nephews.

Burial will be held at a later date in the Greenwood Cemetery in Allentown, Pennsylvania. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
