John Berkley Hamilton III age 79 of Galax, Virginia passed away Saturday, March 9, 2019 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.

Mr. Hamilton was born in Richmond, Virginia on April 4, 1939 to John Berkley Hamilton, II and Louise Callahan Hamilton. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son John B Hamilton IV.

He is survived by his wife Frances Hamilton; daughter Joanne Radcliff both of Galax, Virginia; three grandchildren  John Crookshanks and Erica ; Courtney Crookshanks and LeAnn Radcliff; great-grandchildren Heaven Crookshanks and Jason Dalton.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 2:00 PM in the Felts Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
