John Cox age 84 of Galax, Va. passed away Thursday, April 17, 2008 at the home of his son. Mr. Cox was born on May 14,1923 in Grayson County, Va. to Letcher Andrew & Martha Edwards Cox. He is survived by his wife Estelle Cox of Galax, Va.; daughters Carol Patton of Galax, Va.; Judy Richardson of Richmond, Kentucky; sons Harold Cox & Kenneth Cox both of Galax, Va.; sister Ethel Galyean of Colorado and six grandchildren. A graveside service will be held Saturday, April 19, 2008 at 3:00 pm at the Galyean Cemetery with Rev. Bill Ring officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
