John Joseph Coffey's Obituary
John Joseph Coffey age 76 of Galax, Virginia passed away Thursday, June 30,2016 in the Blue Ridge Nursing and Rehab Center.
Mr. Coffey was born on April 24, 1940 in Watertown, Massachusetts to John Joseph and Muriel Aronson Coffey. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Betsy Wroten Coffey and a daughter Lacey Coffey.
He is survived by his daughters and son-in-law Eden and Scott Sykes of Baltimore, Maryland; Heather Coffey and John Newell of Galax, Virginia; grandchildren Shannon Sykes; Corey Sykes; Ashley Slocum and Justin Slocum.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 6, 2016 from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Felts Memorial Cemetery.
