John Kyle Chapman Adams, Sr., age 78 passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2018 in the Grayson Nursing and Rehab Center. Independence, Virginia. John was born April 24, 1940 in Galax, Virginia to the late Fred Adams, Sr. and Betty Mae Webb Adams. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister,Jane Edwards.

John was the co-founder of Adams-Heath Engineering of Galax. He was a member and Deacon of the First Baptist Church in Galax.

John is survived by his wife Debbie Frye Adams of the home; one daughter Elizabeth Adams of Hillsville, Virginia; two sons and daughters-in-law: John, Jr., and Becky Adams; Jimmy and Missy Adams all of Galax, Virginia; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Fred Jr. and Iona Adams; Dick and Penny Adams all of Galax, Virginia. Also surviving are grandchildren: Jimmy Adams and Natashia Lundy; Josh and Amanda Dalton; Ashley and Robert Carrico; Paige and Sam Beasley; Kyle and India Adams; Kellie Mae Bobbitt; Kenley Adams and Alexis Drury. His very special friend Kevin Heath also survives John.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 12:00 noon in the First Baptist Church, Galax, Virginia with Pastor Sam Bartlett officiating. Interment will follow in the Felts Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time at the church.
