John Wiley Carico age 63 of Galax, Virginia passed away Wednesday June 8, 2022 at his home.

John was born in Galax, Virginia on May 3, 1959 to Oakley Everett and Jewel Hope Williams Carico. In addition to his father, John was preceded in death by his son John Ryan Carico.

He is survived by his wife Karen Lynne Gillespie Carico of Galax, Virginia; daughters Shea Lynne Carico and Mark Patton of Galax, Virginia; Kimberly Hope and Dennis Lineberry of Woodlawn, Virginia; mother Jewel Williams Carico of Galax, Virginia; seven grandchildren Chase Carico; Abby Carico; Saige Carico; Tyler Lineberry; Gracie Lineberry; Emma Carico; Zoey Carico; great-granddaughter LeiLani Carico; siblings and spouses Janet and Steve Wade of Galax, Virginia; Trish and Tom Bratton of Lebanon, Virginia; Randall and Sharon Carico; Jeff Carico; Velvet Jennings; Alan Carico all of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Monday at 11:00 AM in the Cliffview Church of God with Pastor Jackie Poe officiating. Burial will follow in the McKenzie Cemetery. the family will receive friends Sunday evening from six until eight at the Cliffview Church of God.
