John William Buchanan, III known as Bill Buchanan age 51 of Galax, Va. passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at his home. Bill was born on May 16, 1956 in Maryland to John William Buchanan, Jr.& Evelyn Quesenberry Buchanan. In addition to his parents of Galax, Va. he is survived by his wife Carolyn Vess Buchanan of Galax; sister Pat May of Bradenton, Florida. The funeral service will be held Saturday, January 5, 2008 at 2:00 pm in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Associate Pastor Herman Dudley, Rev. Randy Brewer and Pastor Woynal Smythers officiating. Burial will follow in Felts Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from seven until nine at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
