John Wayne Anders, Sr. age 84 of Fries Virginia passed away Thursday March 14th in the Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Anders was born pm August 6, 1939 in Grayson County, Virginia to Harvey and Edna Catron Anders.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Michelle and Justin Hudson; son and special friend John Wayne Anders, Jr and Sunshine all of Fries, Virginia; sisters and brothers-in-law Debbie and William Johnson of Fries, Virginia; sisters Maxine Frazier; Unalee Davis; brothers and sisters-in-law Richard and Brenda Anders; Kenneth and Sue Anders; Danny Anders all of Galax, Virginia; five grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special friend Sandra Vass.

The funeral service will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Pastor Jeff Pickett and Gale Rippey officiating. Burial will follow in the Summerfield Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from seven until eight at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
