Joe Edward Wilson, Jr. "Joe", age 72, Galax, VA, died Friday, Oct. 23, 2015 at the Select Specialty Forsyth Hospital, Winston Salem, NC.

Mr. Wilson was born Sept. 25, 1943 in Grayson County, VA to Joe Edward "Edd" & Vivian Gray Smith Wilson. He was preceded in death by his father and sister, Sandra Miller.

Surviving is his wife Elizabeth Wilson, Galax, VA; sons & daughter-in-law, Jarrod Wilson and Todd & Shannon Wilson, Galax, VA; grandchildren, Riley Wilson, Colin Wilson & Ali Wilson; mother, Vivian Wilson, Galax; sisters & brother-in-law, Patty & Gary Adkins, Kathy Halsey, Galax; brother, Barney Wilson {Patricia Reavis}, Galax, brother-in-law & spouse, Frank & Barbara McBride, Galax; several cousins, nieces & nephews, also, survive.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2015 at 5:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel. Officiating will be Jarrod Wilson. There will be no visitation.
