Joe Jackson Vaughan age 85 of Fries, Virginia passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2023 in the Pulaski Health and Rehab Center.

Mr. Vaughan was born in Roanoke, Virginia on June 7, 1937 to Jack Ellis and Trula O'Donnell Vaughan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Mary Ellen Leath Vaughan and a son Ronald Joe Vaughan.

He is survived by four children and their spouses Rhonda and Daryl James of Mouth of Wilson, Virginia; Randall and Polly Vaughan; Richard and Amy Vaughan all of Fries, Virginia; Rheda and Jeff Wilson of Elk Creek, Virginia; eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren .

The funeral service will be held Saturday at 2:00 PM in the Fries Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Gary Riffe officiating. Burial will follow in the Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Fries Pentecostal Holiness Church.
