Joe Wesley Oakley's Obituary
Joe Wesley Oakley age 81 of Galax, Virginia passed away Thursday May 12, 2022 in the Carilion New River Valley Medical Center.
Mr. Oakley was born in Grayson County, Virginia on July 30, 1940 to Charles and Dulcie Snow Oakley.
He is survived by his wife Linda Moss Oakley of Galax, Virginia; daughters and son-in-law Regina Oakley Bass of Fries, Virginia; Melissa Ann Oakley; Rachel Marie and Darrell Junior Frazier all of Galax, Virginia; sons and daughter-in-law John Paul Oakley; Joseph Lee and Elizabeth Oakley all of Galax, Virginia; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Friday at 2:00 PM at the New Harvest Church with Pastor Kathy Collier officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakley Legacy of Love Cemetery, 1663 Snow Hill Road, Galax, Virginia. The family will receive friends Friday from 1:00 PM until time for the service at the New Harvest Church.
