Joe Rhudy Higgins' Obituary
Joe Rhudy Higgins,age 82, Galax, VA died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2017.
Mr. Higgins was born May 12, 1935 in Carroll County, VA to Emmett and Maxine Amburn Higgins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Higgins and a brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Judy Higgins.
He is survived by a sister-in-law, Eskie Ayers, Winston Salem, NC and several nieces & nephews.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, Dec. 21, 2017 in the First Christian Church at 1:00 PM with burial to follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until 1:00 PM Thursday at church. Officiating minister will be the Rev. Randy Morris.
Military rites will be held by Grayson VFW Post #7726.
