Jo Ella Caldwell, age 79, of Galax, Virginia passed away Friday February 9, 2024 in her home.

Jo was born on August 14, 1944 in Carroll County, Virginia to the late Elmer and Hazel Mabe Hill. She was also preceded in death by her husband Gene Caldwell; sons Terry Caldwell and Steve Caldwell; daughter Donna Anderson; and brother Gene Hill.

She is survived by her daughter Amy Caldwell of Galax, Virginia; sisters Peggy Carico of Galax, Virginia and Sally Clyburn of Galax, Virginia; brother Gary Hill of Galax, Virginia; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

The graveside service will be held Tuesday February 13, 2024 at 1:00PM in the Felts Cemetery with Rev. Angie Lineberry officiating. The family will not receive friends prior to service.
