Jimmy Lee Dye age 70 of Ivanhoe, Virginia passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at his home.

Jimmy was born in Grayson County, Virginia on April 9, 1953 to Clyde and Kathern Elizabeth Akers Dye. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Steve Dye.

He is survived by his wife Susan Dye of Ivanhoe, Virginia; sons and daughters-in-law Lee and Pam Dye of Fries, Virginia; Zane and Tiffany Dye of Hillsville, Virginia; sisters and brother-in-law Sue and Tom Watson of Galax, Virginia; Kathy Faucett of Sheriden, Indiana; Debbie Dye of Galax, Virginia; brothers and sister-in-law Bob Dye;;  Wavern and Ella Jane Dye all of Galax, Virgina;  Jerry Dye of Las Vegas, Nevada; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special friends Stan Pauly; Tom Archer; Paul Dutton and Alex Spruill.

The funeral service will be held Sunday at 2:00 PM in Cold Springs Church with Pastor Marty Stallard and Isaac Lineberry officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at Cold Springs Church.
